Suggested activities for children

We are delighted to offer a variety of activities tailored for young people visiting the exhibition. While we provide age recommendations for these activities, these are merely guidelines. We encourage you to select and adapt the activities that you think best suit your needs and interests. If you would like to share any activities that you have created around the exhibition materials, feel free to contact us, we would be delighted to add them to this page!

Activities for younger children (6-10 year old)

This printable quiz is a great activity to do while browsing through the exhibition. The quiz was created by Canterbury Quakers during the exhibition’s stay at the Friends Meeting House. We’re delighted to be able to share it here for others to download, print, and use in future events! A heartfelt thank you to the Canterbury Quakers for this wonderful contribution.

Activities for older children (9+ years old)

These activities are designed to complement the exhibition booklet but could also work only with the exhibition. This document serves as a guide for teachers, who are welcome to adapt the suggested activities to the students’ level of knowledge and understanding of the topics covered in the exhibition.

The activities presented are four:

  1. EARTH'S AGES
  2. AN UNEQUAL WORLD
  3. COMMUNITIES FOR ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE
  4. CARBON SINKS (art and geography)
